Symmetron provided non-acoustic signatures expertise in support of the LPD 17 contract design. Support efforts included
development of a radar cross section (RCS) reduction and design budget for the LPD 17 class ship, conduct of threat analysis,
missile hit-point analysis, and topside design to affect a reduced RCS ship, and development and review of ship specifications.
Symmetron also developed special missile hit-point algorithms that could simulate seeker sensor performance and be used to
identify track points against 3-D radar data.
